The excellent "dither life" of our molded conductive plastic resistance
element makes these potentiometers ideal for use in missile fin actuators. We
have supplied thousands of arc segment potentiometers for use in missile fin actuators
where available space was limited. In the past two decades, Betatronix potentiometers
have guided almost every major, successful missile system to its targets, including
the HARMS, Paveway and Tomahawk missiles engaged in the Desert Storm conflict.
Other major missile programs using Betatronix potentiometers include Stinger,
Harpoon, Hellfire, JDAM, JSOW and ASRAAM. In the aerospace arena, our potentiometers
are used in the F14, F15, F16, F18, F22 and C130 and C17 programs. All of our
products are designed and tested to meet the requirements of military specifications
MIL-R-39023 and MIL-R-12934.
To meet the special and demanding needs of our military customers, we maintain
a complete machine shop equipped with modern CNC machinery that we use to manufacture
all of the hardware utilized in our potentiometers. This capability enhances our
quality, gives us better control over our delivery schedules, and allows us to
deliver sophisticated military prototypes quicker than any company in our industry.
In addition, our Quality Assurance Department can provide the high reliability
test data required in today's sophisticated military systems. Acceptance test
plans are available along with individual data sheets substantiating 100% inspection
of all potentiometers. If required, our testing can include Periodic Conformance
Inspection (PCI), Lot Acceptance Testing (LAT) and special screening tests.
