Satellites and Space

Betatronix designed high precision potentiometers for space applications starting in the 1970's with the Viking I. We have potentiometers on the International Space Station, the Space Shuttle, the Mars Exploration Rovers and multiple other classified and commercial satellites.

Space qualification requires special consideration with respect to traceability of materials and processes. Special assembly travelers and BOMs with part Lot Numbers are part of our SOP. Our products are designed and tested to military specifications (MIL-R-39023 and MIL-R-12934) and certified to the NASA Standards (NASA-STD-8739.3 and J-STD-001D).
