Primarily manufactured with wirewound resistance
elements, multi-turn potentiometers came into being because they offered better
resolution and, in turn, better linearity. That benefit is less significant now,
because today's non-wirewound resistance elements offer infinite resolution and
Betatronix can build single-turn molded conductive plastic potentiometers with
the same accuracy as multi-turn. However, for special applications where multi-turn
potentiometers must be used and where the poor reliability of a wirewound potentiometer
cannot be tolerated, Betatronix offers molded conductive plastic multi-turn potentiometers
with improved life characteristics and higher reliability performance figures. |
